The Sami Frashëri High School project explores how architecture can generate inclusive, adaptable, and dynamic public spaces through the integration of environmental strategies, advanced digital tools, and a strong sensitivity to the urban and cultural context. A key element is the concept of a social condenser: the school is not only an educational facility, but also a civic hub, an agora where the community and students can meet. This approach proposes a replicable model for transforming urban spaces into multifunctional, people-centered places. The concept is based on a parametric design process that translates climatic and solar data into architectural solutions, such as a dynamic façade. This system of vertical elements with varying depths, modulating light and shadow according to orientation while improving daylighting, thermal comfort, and energy efficiency.

Through digitally managed parameters, geometries are optimized to ensure performance and comfort. From an architectural perspective, the language is light and permeable: volumes, green courtyards, and terraces create an open and inclusive system. Its flexibility over time makes the building an evolving system, capable of adapting to changes in the city. The school consists of two interwoven volumes that generate classrooms, shared spaces, and internal courtyards, connected by continuous terraces. The composition of solids and voids creates a new social landscape, encouraging interaction between students and the wider community. Finally, the sustainability strategy integrates innovative materials, passive solutions, and green infrastructure, making the project a transferable model for urban regeneration.
